Person by Sam Pink is easy reading. There's more or less a linebreak after every sentece, so 100 pages isn't much, and it's broken into very short chapters. He's written a lot of stuff in that format if you go further, but if you don't like Person the rest isn't worth it. If you happen to like him and want something longer and more sophisticated, Suicide and Autoportrait by Edouard Leve might be interesting to you.

There's also the /lit/ wiki entry on short fiction:
https://lit.trainroll.xyz/wiki/Short_Fiction

Plenty of short stories online too. I like the stuff I see published by Wigleaf, which does flash fiction (extra short fiction):
https://wigleaf.com/wigleafmain.htm
They do a yearly list of their favourite pieces of short fiction published anywhere, and this year's was released recently:
https://wigleaf.com/2025top501.htm

And here's an anthology of (mostly) short stories written by 4channers:
https://the-best-of-amp.github.io/
there's a PDF on that page, or otherwise a link to all of the pieces online. Most are about one or two pages. This is one I like:

(or pic related)

If you stick around waiting for recs too long you'll be wasting your time as another excuse not to read.

There was the best of &amp anthology; it was an unofficial attempt to pick the good out of the very large and mixed variety of writing after the original magazine went silent. The shitposts and the junk were part of the charm of &amp, but the point of the anthology was to pare that back while keeping the spirit of a /lit/ project. About 50 pieces and 100 pages:

If you don't want to just start from the beginning, some of my favourites are
>QQQuest (pic related)
>Dog Killer
>Pinakes
>Burgerpunk Delivers
which are online too:

There was also Lit Quarterly but I haven't read any of the issues, I just know they had standards. They had an influx of people from outside /lit/ later on, but that wasn't until after the third issue, I think. Here's a link for a bunch of magazines that have cropped up on here, including &amp, Pinecone, and Lit Quarterly:

There's also a best-of of the Flash Fiction Anthology series, but it's only in print. Still meaning to buy a copy so I can check the table of contents. The originals are in the Mega folder.
