Naa, I still have occasional inconsistency. But i was advised by past friends that I should force myself out there anyway, practicing everyday, and along the way will make better connections with like minded people.

I just don’t know how realistic that advice is in a conservative leaning town.

Most non-exotic starter instruments are pretty affordable. And then if you want quality you should anticipate spending probably around a couple grand minimum for an upgrade. From what i’ve learned it’s mainly about the artist rather than the instrument that makes it sound good.
