ER looks amazing, I think that's undeniable. But to me it always comes back to "What am I doing in this pretty picture?"
So many games nowadays just have these pretty set-dressings, and you can absolutely stop and take a picture to claim how beautiful the game is. I can do that in Snowrunner right now, a game all about trucking. Or Callisto Protocol, which is not a particularly good game, but I just find myself caring less and less about how "good" a game looks.
