Thanks OP! Reading this with anons has been great, picking up all the details I had missed and having cool discussions. Also, bringing up points that I could never even think about.
I actually started at chapter 44 with the daily, then became obsessed and read it all from the beginning, while also keeping up with the dailies, so this ended being my second read.
This manga is a real treasure, I'm glad I discovered it recently when the whole thing is already scanlated. Like Hotori, I also wanted things to stay the same. I remember feeling nostalgia as early as 13 yo. Summers always had a certain feel and smell up to that point, but it started fading. I could not be happy about some things that always seemed to bring joy, even christmas started loosing it's magical touch.
It's scary realising how most of the things I enjoy at some point will be uninteresting or forgotten (well, there are obviously some that can stand the test of time). But now I realise that just means I have changed. I've recently stopped resenting this, and think of this as leaving some space for new things to come. Even revisiting old things I enjoyed a long time ago brings up a new experience.
The daily ends today, on one of the few last days of summer, at least for where I'm living right now. I think I will control myself and meet OP and the other Soredemo anons on the next one for the chronological dump. Let's see what things will change by then. Meido!

This is such a beautiful ending.
I love Ishiguro's show-don't-tell approach to manga. This whole work is a masterclass in comics, not writing excessive dialog, impeccable paneling, simple yet expressive and realistic character designs, line economy, not falling into same-face problems, the little details and foretelling... simply a great use of the medium.
