Your definition of love is bleak. If love is just heterosexual lust, then… that sucks. Love is shit. I mean, I see how it is special in that it creates offspring while homosexual lust doesn’t. But if love is just lust that makes babies, there is nothing noble about it. I mean, it’s different, but not inherently good or anything.

Rape is love. Slavery is love. By your own post knocking up some rando and leaving her to raise the kid on her own is love. If love just means making babies, there is nothing super special about it. It’s just a law of nature. Love[man + woman]= babies like sodium + chloride = table salt. You’re hopelessly materialistic.

People can be more than material. If love is just heterosexual lust, then there are tons of things that are greater than it. Living with a stallion and spending all your free time together because you enjoy interacting, being sexually exclusive to each other, pleasing each other, being pleased by each other, and deriving pleasure from pleasuring each other may not, by your definition, be “love”, but can you truly say that such a relationship is less noble, less honorable, less heartfelt than fucking some whore in a seedy alley and knocking her up, then leaving, never to see her again?
