the empire represents the archons, as star wars is based off of gnosticism and occultism. notice the hexagrams/hexagons everywhere? they are the sign of the demiurge, that's why it's also used as the square and compass in freemasonry. in the pic you posted the tie fighters are hexagons, which is inside a hexagram aka star of david. the symbol for the empire is another hexagram. in this post here, >>519103209
you can see what looks like a priest in front of hexagram flags. there are also 2 statues representing the 2 pillars jachin and boaz, making this location the temple of solomon. and the djedi was something to do with the egyptian priesthood if i am not mistaken
vader and the emperor together make up the demiurge. this is one of the esoteric meanings of the 2 pillars, that they are 2 in 1. so the emperor is old and frail but very powerful, moreso than vader who is physically large and strong. this is the exact same as in many movies, like the terminator movies. skynet is the same as the emperor, incoporeal yet with world spanning power. it wants to bring about judgement day and hates jc. the original terminator is the other half of the demiurge, which they seem to merge with the angel of death. so the second in command is seen as angel of death; in the smurfs gargamel's cat was named azrael, which is the name of the angel of death. flash gordon has the same setup, with ming the merciless as the boss, and klytus as the 2ic. klytus has a square and compass on his chest and is part robot the same as vader. they are all the same conceptually.
skywalker is horus/jesus, like he is seen in the occult. here is a golden dawn ritual which demonstrates this nicely:

the millenium falcon alludes to this, as jesus will rule for 1000 years according to revelation, and horus was a falcon. the two are syncretized in masonry/occultism
