Gunlaw in Austria has been raped and new laws are coming into effect
The Catalyst was the Graz School Shooting (Graz is a far left shithole like San Francisco)

TLDR

>The minimum age for owning certain firearms is being raised: for Category B weapons (e.g., pistols) from 21 to 25 years, and for Category C weapons (e.g., rifles) from 18 to 21 years.

>A “cool-off” period (waiting time) when purchasing a firearm is being extended: instead of the previous ~3 days it will become 4 weeks for first-time purchase.

>Mandatory psychological assessments will be tougher: more rigorous testing at application, and repeated checks every five years.

>Better information sharing among authorities (e.g., between military/training suitability assessments and firearms authorities) so a prior psychological unfitness can be taken into account.

>Some rules are retroactive/will apply to existing owners.

>The reforms claim to exclude hunters (whose rules/training differ) from some of the stricter amendments. (Aka you are a licensed Hunter and a Member of a active Hunting Club or Organization)

Mind you we had 2 public mass shootings in Austria between 2000 and 2022 (Excluding Terror Attacks and shootings Non Citizens aka Arabs/Turks/Yugos)
