Honestly, all type of 1-legged squats are same-ish

Glutes and quads are both agonists but prioritizing one over the other makes the other work less.
For quads, push the knee forward and stay more upright. Glutes activate more the deeper you go, the more you lean forward while shoving the hips back. More or less.

The one that suits you best. All theory can become irrelevant because your body and brain might decide to perceive things differently.
And since everybody should train both ass and the quads, you should end up doing at least one movement for each of those giant muscles. And don't forget hammies and calves.
