I like that. It shows that they're putting effort into them being deuteragonists, but that doesn't mean they get to shirk writing proper dialogue options if you chose Wise.

Hell, make this a unique event where both are shown going on their respective dates.

I actually like this event, it's a nice way to spend one on one time with the characters. The rhythm game is also a nice distraction. It's the kind of event I'd like to see them occasionally update with more characters.

Although, my favorite dates were with the NPCs.
