I have a mortgage to pay and a retirement fund to look out for, so I've made it a strict rule to myself never to do any content I don't find fun and doesn't have something I want at the end of it. I want the Red Mage relic, so I'll do it, but it's just rolos and even the last step at least forced me to be mildly less incompetent at pve even if demiatmas overstayed their welcome as a concept. This step is just rolos and it's double-fucking me over because having a sub empire or crafting fits into that "not fun or rewarding for me" category, so I also have to work out how I'll get those mats I apparently need. It's tiresome!
