I moved from Arch to Windows 10 LTSC about a week ago. It made me realize Linux is ass; I would only use it stripped down/locked up on an handheld device (Google and Valve both knew as much), or at most on a laptop.
Linux is a peak time waster. And no, it isn't because of Arch. After install Arch gets out of your way, from my experience, and it doesn't come with any bullshit that tries to obfuscate the "Linuxism" for the sake of "user friendliness". "User friendliness" in Linux world means GUI even more for retarded babies than Windows is, and all it does is make you more unprepared when you inevitably have to open the command line because a program requires it or something bad happened.
Gaming on Linux is fine, that's why Valve and a lot of other companies make handheld consoles using Linux as a base OS. You will have to check ProtonDB which is kind of annoying but oh well. The biggest issue with gaming is mods (if you aren't on Deck that makes the filesystem case fold by default) or any weird utilities that hook into the game program. Besides that, it's mostly everything else about the desktop Linux experience that is annoying as hell.
