Hey /fit/. I'm sure you get this shit all the time, but I read the sticky and I /think/ it doesn't answer what i'm asking for. I'll drop some basic background but if you dont care i'll greentext my basic question at the end. I apologize in advance for being a moron.
So i'm a femboy. Not like, "oh i wear dresses" femboy. I mean like, long hair, soft skin, 5'6", have natural chest fat no matter how much weight i lose... I don't need to lose weight but I DO want to look hotter, etc. Tone my muscles, get a nicer ass, etc. Being healthier, too.
'm trying my best to look up and google basic routines, but it feels like no matter what I do, i'm doing it wrong and that everyone can do shit better than I can. The only thing that worked for my ass was clamshells and when I did leg day it sucked so much I could barely walk the whole day. Is there any basic routines I can do without being a complete moron and fucking it up? I know this should be basic information, but my dad refused to teach me when I was a kid, and my mom was a "run and diet" kind of person.
If that's not bad enough I basically have no sense of my muscles except for MAYBE in my legs and biceps. Asking me if my core or glutes are activating may as well be like asking me if there's aliens on mars.

How do i tone my body to look better without gaining /too/ much weight as a complete moron who knows jack shit about exercise? I can't really tell if my glutes or core "activates" when I do shit, but I do have some sense over my legs and arms.

oh uh i guess i'll list what i have access too
dumbells, kettlebells, elliptical, exercise bike, treadmill, bench, weight bench, fitness trainer (i think thats what theyre called), exercise ball, weights (like with the full bar).

sorry if all this shit is basic and super obvious. i promise im trying, im just very stupid.
