Im on a deficit to lose two pounds a week (I'm currently 320 lbs). Right now I'm 450 calories under my budget for the day. I've had 100 grams of protein today. In your opinion should i go to bed with the extra 450kcal deficit or should i drink a two scoop protein shake to get about 60g protein for 400kcal?
They say for obese people you should try to get your height in centimeters in protein daily to maintain muscle mass, I'm 5'10" so that's about 170 grams of protein...
I'm on Zepbound and now that I've hit therapeutic dose this month I'm losing up to two pounds per week.
For me i feel like Zepbound helps me be on a more even playing field to people who haven't struggled with obesity since childhood. I still get temptations and cravings and i have to plan out my meals to make sure i get enough protein etc. But i feel so much more in control and able to manage things.
Without GLP1s (IE for most of my life), cravings for stuff like fast food and high calorie soda was so intense it would just fucking hold in my mind relentlessly like a rat thrashing at the boundaries of my brain until i fed it sugar and fat.
