Leah never wanted to write Power Girl, she was assigned to her. She didn't know anything about her and was too lazy to learn. So instead of having to be burdened by pesky little things like consistency, she decided to just toss aside everything about the character to make it easier on herself. All that was left was the superficial, and she had to supplement that with tropes and inconsistent, bottom-of-the-barrel fanfic-tier writing. But she didn't have a plan; she just winged it as she went along and hoped for the best.
