Pretty much. Even the middle classes assume most working class people are uneducated uncivilised morons ready to resort to violence at the drop of a hat. And to be fair they're not wrong. But the problem arises when the powers that be insist on telling us how to live, when all we really want to do is be left alone to sink a few pints at the weekend and toss off to the Spice Girls in a drunken binge of nostalgia. It's not much to ask.
