Fewer and fewer people own a personal computer of ANY sort no more, as everything's done via phones these days. And I mean EVERYTHING; some of our local Minecraft Education Edition clubs for grade-school children literally have to first teach how to use a keyboard and mouse these days, and explain that no - they cannot join the closed school servers with their Java / Bedrock accounts, and bring their private 10k TNT block structures with them.

This has resulted there being a massive decline in GenZ's and A's IT skills, which has started to bite them in the ass when they step into wage-slave work force.
This also explains why many of the few that DO own a PC literally don't know about emulation, or if they do, they think it's "illegal" and/or "dangerous".
If the game ain't on Steam / Epic / GOG / ... etc, it may as well not even exist to them in 2025.

tl;dr: iPhone toddlers don't have a computer and cannot pirate / emulate / set up games that ain't on a digital storefront.
