While what other anon's have said about exclusionary HR practices and hrt probably account for some of the losses in the super genius tism demographic (at least the super autistic ones), I think that in actuality these types of people still exist, it's just that they are "given an offer they can't refuse" so to speak. Why struggle starting a business and inventing some new bespoke technology when you can just get a comfy tech job and make well over six figures? If you are an actual super genius these companies have a large incentive to hire and keep you on because if you are free agent you are competition (and this is all in spite of the layoffs and H1B abuse).
