Alright, hear me out, how can we make weather effects even worse in any way possible? What are just some of the worst mechanic's or mechanic evolutions you can think of?
I'm thinking we get more dramatic, unnecessary, and convoluted weather effects.

>Thunder storms
Not only are your units slowed, but now there can be FoW, and any class that wears metal or uses a melee weapon has a chance to be hit with lightning when they end their turn. lightning mages get increased crit chance, and they can act as a little thunder umbrella.
>hail/blizzard
all non armored units take 1-2 non-lethal damage each turn, units have a heat meter that they have to replenish at certain points or by standing near a fire mage. The heat meter has increasingly worse debuffs as the unit runs out of heat.
>hurricane winds
Moving against the wind slows you, moving with the wind increases the unit's movement. this also drastically effects archer's power and accuracy, and range. Wind mages get bonus speed and power, and their attacks can redirect winds around them for a turn.
>draught
much of the extra terrain such as trees, and houses are ignitable, creating temporary fire tiles that deal damage to units passing, or ending their turn in it.
