I haven't been able to read her 5* Fate due to timegated materials but I do know that it ends on the note of "Nier is still crazy, perhaps even more than before. One day, the crew will have to confront or be confronted by this truth." She doesn't find redemption and I hope she doesn't but her other appearances in events and her Yukata Fate Episodes suggest a softening, even though it would be consistent with her character from the start. She still kills people, but only bad people, and only when Danchou isn't around or when she can actively hide the truth. In those cases, she'll just maim them. She gets along well with the crew, as her ultimate desire was to be loved and accepted beyond a romantic sense, so just having a place to belong does her wonders. Take her Yukata Fate for example. You might think that Nier would want to kill Anthuria when she fights out that she also has a crush on Danchou, but instead she just welcomes the competition, as if they were love rivals from one of her beloved novels. Of course she doesn't think she'll lose, but she also promises to accept whoever Danchou picks. She's pretty earnest when it comes to romance in general. One of her Valentine's messages is her commenting on some weird trend where people were doing the yandere cliche of putting hair/blood/etc. into their chocolate as a magic spell to make their crush fall in love with them after eating it, but that she would never do that, because she just wants to make a chocolate that tastes good and that the recipient would enjoy.
