Ate some pizza, worked on schoolwork, then went to the mosque across the street from my dorm to attend a study circle discussing the Ihya ‘Ulum ad-Din (a consolidated explanation of the doctrine and practices of Islam, written by al-Ghazali); I’m not a Muslim, but they treat me well. Then I just got a reply to my message to a cute Korean girl from a previous class who I ran into by chance on an elevator a few days ago (I’m supposed she said hi to me first, I didn’t even talk to her almost at all), I’m gonna try to set up a date with her for next week.

I’m having possible troubles with a scholarship I got due to Trump’s battle with the Department of Education, but hopefully, the appropriations bill which would fund it will pass Congress and the President’s desk. If not, I’m probably going abroad as an English teacher for a bit, for my research and to think things over.

Sitting back at my dacha, with a frothing, ice cold cup of kvass in one hand, the beautiful hand of my faithful Turkic/Mongolic wife in the the other, getting a nice cookout on as fuel for all those hours of standing still during liturgy the next morning, trading jokes and stories with my in-laws and my friendly white neighbors, my hapa progeny robust with steppe warrior vigor playing outside happy and healthy with the other kids and our pet Samoyed…
