Combat-wise, it's a pretty typical "three niggas in a row" game. You collect Digimon by beating them in battle enough times to clone one of your own, and they can take divergent evolution paths depending on what their stats are. A Digimon with a personality type that favors INT growth my evolve into something completely different from one that favored ATK growth. But you can evolve backwards and retain a portion of the stats they've gained at any time, so there's an addictive quality to finding your preferred path.
