I would hardly describe her as being mid. She's not among my favorites but she's fun. My problem with her is the same problem that most Senseis have: the food terrorists get way too much screentime.
It's been FIVE YEARS since release and just recently on the /jp/ server, did they make an event that gave Suzumi screentime. Reisa too, had almost none. There's a ton of characters and groups that get very little exposure because the writers like using the same usual set pieces. Hina, Abydos, food terrorists and Millenium.

If it makes you feel better, Fuuka is getting WAAAAAAAAY more downloads than either Haruna or Akari.
