But I agree 100% with you that it hasn't been working as usual. I suspect Chinese buyers are slurping the dips and taking physical delivery in order to send the bars to China.

If you bought on Friday and sold on Monday you used to make a slim profit most weeks. Friday's are option close days, so they would tamp down to fix the option price.
