Crusader-chan is tied to Hifumi's swimsuit chibi. The tank likely wasn't used in the gameplay section because it would be jarring to see her swimsuit chibi when the story CGs show her in her regular uniform. Also the Gourmets were using Fuuka's truck in the same fight but it wasn't shown in gameplay because the wasn't implemented yet. My point is just because it wasn't conveyed in gameplay doesn't mean that those students weren't actually using vehicles during the Kaiju fight. Are you gonna move the goalpost again?
