>Wrong, 2006 still felt like a hangover of the '90s but 2007 didn't.
not true
the 90s feel like they "ended" shortly after 9/11
2002-2007 felt like a decade of its own
2006 was still full digital cameras, no smartphones, only PCs, which were getting pretty fast, some CRT monitors but a lot of flat monitors too. computer graphics were advancing pretty fast, going from far cry 1 to crysis 1 in less than 3 years. people were online but it was kept in check and when you weren't in front of the computer, you were effectively offline
2007 kind of kept that vibe going, but in 2008 you had the crisis in full swing, CRT monitors were mostly gone by then, and some people took photos on their cell phones. these pictures were getting pretty decent, but nothing to compare to digital cameras from a few years prior. smartphones were right around the corner, some were even usable already. wasn't blackberry popular as hell in 2008-2010?
