Shinku was fine. The problem was the bloating of the cast in S3 and falling away from what made the series great in the first place which was the main crew having SOL adventures in the 3 kingdoms with world building and plot lurking in the back ground. DD's world is great and Shinku had fun interactions with all the girls. S3 to this day makes me seethe because of how bad it was. It also probably didn't help that the casting was S+ tier which probably spiked the budget cost considerably at that point a lot of the girls from S1 were rising stars and needing to be paid more for their work.
