Probably correct for most of the population. Tribalism between Vanilla and Rising is used by Rising starting shitposters anytime they see someone expressing their opinion that Vanilla was better.
In the first place, it is unimaginable to shittalk Vanilla but somehow praise Rising when it's just a shittier version of the same game. They might a bring a bunch of different excuses, but I think it is because 4chan, as an anonymous site, is a place where the first piece of information that comes from someone leads to a slippery, logical mistake, where that piece of info gets the preferential treatment. Since you don't know anything about that person (anonymous site), your brain automatically assigns the first thing that you notice as the most important information regarding that person's life, obviously disregarding the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of aspects to a person's interests and opinions. It's human nature that helped us evolve and survive in the wild if you think about it (same principle as visual profiling) but I digress. The process unfortunately makes it quite easy in an anonymous environment for you to, without even realizing it, start labeling someone else as an "enemy" and start the classical and pointless shit-flinging riddled with assumptions.
There are numerous examples of such pointless assumptions leading to shit-flinging in this thread, the most recent ones are the following
>Person A, who only considers himself a member of the Rising community (community A), sees Person B (a random person to them) mentioning DBFZ (community B and the first piece of info)
>Person A feels attacked, thinking that a member of a different community has appeared and assumes them as an enemy
>Slippery logical slop continues, Person B is now out of nowhere a raiding/black/shitposting, simply because they have been labeled as THE "e n e m y" by person A's brain
Thus ignoring that a person might have, simply, played different fighting games.
