The trouble with (being born) the coastal grove is this FUCKING feeling lucky deed and achievement. It sucks and it's fucking gay. The game is full of rng to a large extent, but it's almost never pure rng, as you have choices and always have multiple ways to handle things
But this deed asks you to send out expeditions on the water to find a single random blueprint out of 28. It is completely rng with virtually a single way to improve your odds, and you can only improve it by into maybe being out of 24 instead. It's so unreasonable to get this fucking rainpunk foundry blueprint. The worst part is that I've fucking gotten it twice. The first time was before they altered the achievement when it was get TWO specific blueprints, being both the homestead and the foundry, in one game. Utterly impossible. And the second was during the queen's hand trail, where deeds, and thus, achievments, don't fucking count. You can't actually engage with the coastal grove biome as intended. You cant strategize and think to yourself, "hhhmm, I need a fertile soil build, I should send out a food building expedition to see if I can get one". No. It's "damn I need to send out another industry building expedition" for the 200th fucking time for it to return fucking nothing but a supplier you already have a repaired one of from a glade. You also can't consistently send out expeditions unless you get luck with blueprints and have a stable source of complex food from a porridge building or the cookhouse. You realistically will only get 4 chances in a regular game on a high difficulty. In the off chance you manage to get more, it will not avail you. One game, I had a great set up and I deliberately spent more time there, refusing to let my villagers resolve get high so I can send out more. I literally sent out as many as I could before the game stopped returning blueprints as rewards (happens at the 15th or something expeditions). Didn't fucking get it.
