There were 550,000 attempted crossings into the United states between February, March, and April of 2024 meanwhile in April of 2025 there were only 22,000 attempted crossings and 43,000 "deportations" which still include "removals" but since the amount of people showing up at the border is so low illegal immigration into the USA is already net negative
