You can literally boot those and dogs away unless mortally injured, and at worst you'll suffer a few bites. They're not attack dogs. Even those are pussy. Case in point the Psuedodog is the toughest creature of this size you'll encounter. Since there are officially no mountain lions in the zone though those do exist
