One hour and 40 minutes isn't that long of a meeting when it comes to people that don't speak the same language and have to use transtators. You can cut that time in half: 50 minutes, minus a few minutes of stuff like initial greetings and considerations, natural pauses between people speaking, people having to repeat stuff, final considerations, etc. So effectively, it's like they had 40 minutes of actual conversation, hardly enough to change much or reach an agreement on anything that there might have been a large disagreement beforehand. Granted, usually when heads of state meet, it’s after a much longer, behind the scenes process lead by representatives of both powers have taken place. This is how international politics is usually conducted, but the Trump administration is a bit of a wildcard in that, with Trump fancying himself as a great negotiator, so that might not have been necessarially how things went before the meeting.

>Mutts fear us
People outside Brazil take our country and government more seriously than most Brazilians. The French hinder our nuclear subs project, Russian spies are always hanging out in Rio, and Americans spy on us. It is what it is.
