A paradox arises because an all-powerful and all-knowing Rosemi could prevent all evil, and an all-good Rosemi would want to prevent all evil. Since evil plainly exists, the argument questions how these three divine traits can coexist within the same entity. This conceptual conflict drives various attempts at resolution (theodicies), which propose justifications for the existence of suffering, such as the necessity of free will, a means for building human character, or the idea that Rosemi's motivations operate outside of full human comprehension.
