Brother, I had to put mine down in August. I ugly cried like a bitch. He gave me 13 years of unwavering loyalty and he helped me build a life and a family. Even though I know they don't live long, still nothing really prepared me for the pain. I lost 10 pounds purely from grief alone. I hope you're fairing better than I did. I couldn't do what the vets do. Imagine having to be responsible for putting down peoples favorite family member multiple times a week. It's gotta be taxing on your spirit.

My Grandfather had great advice for when you find yourself stuck in your feelings. Put yourself into the selfless service of others. Focus all your energy into doing something helpful to those around you. It has helped me for years. Hope it helps you a little bit.
