Libido, porn, sex magic
Why is porn so addictive? Metaphysically speaking. We're going to just assume everyone is on the same page regarding the hard materialistic, mechanistic explanations, ie dopaminergic novelty seeking machinery, self soothing conditioning, early childhood development, libidinal outputs, etc. None of that belongs in this thread unless it ties to a broader metaphysical or teleological model.

So what is the deal with this? Lust, arousal, masturbation. Even sex with emotional connection to one's partner. In all cases there is clearly something happening behind the scenes, or the veil, which goes well beyond the act itself. There's "sex magic" of course (don't know much about that), sex was big in ancient egyptian religions, lot of sex went on in European pre-christian societies, sex and violence have been linked (maypole and Beltain variants where people were actually burned, allegedly), and so on. Modern day there's some unconscious impulse to try to use sexual stimulation and the aroused state to transmute into some sort of manifestation as well.

So what's the deal with this? It would be amusing if coomers were actually among the most powerful unseen forces on the planet, even though sigil magic, subliminals, flow of attention, etc embedded in porn would probably be capturing that energy.

Also does it make a difference if one builds up arousal, then just stops and lets it transmute or drain into something else? Or is orgasm a powerful mode of release in intention.
