The N.corp IDs I believe. In Heathcliff's he notices that there's a weird thing in the middle of their nails, as if they're sucking out something out of their victims, and it's being deposited in the weapon to be harvested later.
N.corp also has "Suicide vending machines" mentioned in Leviathan, seemingly their most culturally significant and more well known product, with people coming from all over just to use it. Gubo mentioned that the experiments with the glass window would somehow help improve said product as well, so we don't know wtf it does yet. I'd guess

>Actually just straight up kills you, but gives you an experience along the process
>Kills your "current self" and swaps it for something else using canned experiences, or even IDs
>Can erase certain traits you dislike about yourself, or improve on them
Just guesswork, since beyond the name, we were never told what they do.
