This morning, four fighters from the Harb Battalion were slightly injured in an operational accident at a post in southern Syria. Investigation of the incident indicators that it was an explanation of a Syrian weapon left in the field. The explanation occurred on the Syrian side of Mount Hermon, not on the Israeli side.

The fighters were evacuated by helicopter for medical treatment at a hospital and their families were notified. It is likely that this was the explanation of an old Syrian weapon that was located in the area by the force. The forces have completed their activities in the area.

Last night, IDF forces begin operations to local weapons and conduct searches in southern Syria. As part of the operation, a force from Battalion 299 located an old Syrian weapon, which apparently explained on the force.
