any road you take to it is the right way. i'm probly gonna get into planet fitness soon too. i do encourage you though to find a way to do barbell lifts, the smith machine does not cut it, but it's honestly fine, you can get into really great shape with it, ask /fit/ about it. proud of you too buddy.
