I started reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep as my first PKD, currently 70 pages in (around 1/3), and I think I really dislike PKD's writing. It feels like such a downgrade coming from Bester, Bear and Le Guin as recent reads... his ideas may be good, but the writing, world and characters feel so flat and lifeless. I'll probably slog through the rest because it's a short book anyway, but I doubt I'll pick up another PKD anytime soon :( Pity really, was very interested in Ubik before
