In episode 6, Husk is supposed to return to his old ways, so perhaps that’s a reaction to whatever happens to Alastor after that fight. I do think he begrudgingly cares about Alastor, them being friends before would make sense. Perhaps Alastor was scared of having an actual friend, and that’s why he tricked Husk into giving him his soul as a way to change their dynamic and stay in control. Or maybe he thought he was being magnanimous as Husk was going to lose his power and soul with his gambling, and then expected Husk to be grateful for Alastor altruistically saving him. Their relationship has the potential to be very interesting. Same with Niffty, I’d love to find out more about her, I hope her backstory is good.

I wonder if this is something that will factor into what Vox says to him when he’s kidnapped. I can see Vox saying things like “they’re not your friends, they aren’t even coming for you, they don’t care”. Alastor coming to realise that he does have people who care for him and do want to rescue him would be nice.
