Collect them for nostalgic value, sure. Collect them for the artwork. The discs themselves were beautiful in their own right, as were the manuals and cases. But as to using them to play the game? Don't. At this point treat them as museum pieces or collectables. Not as consumer media.

They're not making any more of them, and what's out there is already used, abused, damaged, and not repairable.
