I asked about the origins of LopSync a few days ago and I had a few replies saying it was a direct result of pedos getting banned from Mare but someone else said LopSync was around before the Mare bans and was created because Mare added the Discord account linking aspect and the guy who made LopSync didn't wanna deal with discord.

I had trouble believing the discord thing was such a huge issue until Forked Tower when everyone and their mother were bitching about having to join a discord server for Forked Tower like it was the most painful & difficult thing they'd do all day. After seeing how many people really don't want to deal with discord I can see why the LopSync dev did it as well.

Oh, and someone else said it was because the dev for LopSync liked to "lewd Lopporits and Mare didn't allow that" but that sounds made up lol
