desu people forget that this is a kusoge and the company prioritizes selling the characters over telling a good story. this has always been the case with hoyo and hsr, even back in penacony when they paired ratio and aventurine up even though jade and topaz are aventurine's actual collaegues. or that firefly's dates were more important than her backstory or whatever she was doing with the script.
