Personally, I want a nice, polished Linux desktop, and I think throwing money at the issue might help. Of course it'll be FOSS. It's my money, so it's going to be FOSS.
I also think Linux is great because the user has choices as to what distro to install. I hope an infusion of cash will make the Linux ecosystem a little better for all anons who switch to Linux, not just the distro I'm paying for.
