>can't believe the market isn't running to inferior products
I have blaze, uplay, battle.net, microsoft and the epic store on my computer because corporations mandated it to play certain games I like. Every one of those is objectively worse than steam in everything except download speed (which is almost negated by local steam distribution letting me download from my roomates/family rather than an off-network server).
Steam isn't perfect but I'm not being told to use an inferior product just because you think it's too popular. We already had a decade+ of companies trying to force their store and they almost all broke and moved to steam because they couldn't hack it.
Want to take a larger share of the market? Make a better product. Until then stop shilling and acting like I made this decision because I had no other options.
