>Heya Taonon!!
hi"!"!!11!
>I used to always dislike the weekends because it meant my parents would be home
aw, im sorry to hear that. i always never liked them much because they made me feel bad staying home doing nothing. but now you got something to look forward to! and me too. i think it helps a lot to have something to look forward to at the end of a week. and im glad my threads make you so happy!
>I finished Takopii yesterday!
niceu! i don't mind at all. im happy to read everything you have to say!
>it's hard to place them as either good or bad
i really love it when shows manage to do that! it does make the characters feel a lot more real and not just the average bad guy and the good guy. in this case especially, i had such a hard time defining anyone as a bad guy... maybe just the parents.
>with his perfectionism and fear of failure
he and shizuka were the most relatable for me. i'd say im kind of a mix of the two. thankfully not as traumatic though.
>sometimes they used cheerful music for traumatic scenes
i really liked that detail! it does help convey just how much takopi is clueless about what's going on and also adds a fitting eerie feeling to the scene. also i kind of like songs with very depressing lyrics but cheerful music...
>if that made you think of this anime at that time
it did, though my idea of aliens is that they wouldn't dare step on the planet before they know exactly how we work. unless they want to just disintegrate us.
>why did he hit his mama and use the Big Happy Clock without permission
i also like you think he inherited some bad behaviors from humans. but in the end he also just didnt know what else to do, and didn't know better. that he originally tried to help marina was such a good plot twist though... i didn't expect it at all.
>her copying how her own mom treated her
yeah, it's a fascinating scene! it's very down to earth and i think it might have singlehandedly helped a lot of people with their own traumas too.
