I gen on an RTX 2070 with 8GB VRAM and 32GB RAM. It's doable but you would really want more. 8GB limits me on resolution, amount of LoRAs I can use at once and the image gen models I can use. 32GB RAM regularly hits 99% usage while genning when I'm running a browser and other every day stuff on the side which causes annoying lag spikes.

I think doubling both would get pretty decent results but if you're looking to upgrade you might want to wait for the RTX 50 series Super cards to come out as they're rumored to have more VRAM. They should be coming this year.
