it really is quite i r o n i c..
funny && veeeery ironic how after all these years, with all the modern science and tech, the shroud of Turin still can’t be fully explained. not in any real, definitive, scientific way. and let’s not act like the old “medieval forgery” narrative hasn’t already been debunked and buried multiple times... even hardline skeptics, ultra atheists-materialists like barrie Schwortz, an orthodox jew and lead photographer for the 1978 STURP team, ended up defending the shroud’s authenticity. guys like Dr. JohnJackson and Dr. Alan Adler dedicated years of serious research to it — not armchair speculation — and came out with conclusions that point far beyond any natural explanation... hardcore atheist scientists, mind you — ended up dedicating their lives to studying the shroud and walked away if not firm, then confused believers in Christ. why?

because the evidence kept pointing to something beyond natural explanation.
we're talking about an image embedded in linen that would’ve required a burst of energy on the level of a nuclear flash. and no one’s been able to replicate it. we’re talking about an image burned into linen with the intensity of what would take an atomic-level burst of energy.

so maybe it’s not that the Shroud lacks scientific explanation, maybe it’s that people are terrified of where that explanation actually points.
