>the food in russia is top tier though
not really, i mean sure some people can MAKE good food thats true anywhere
but like supermarkets, of course its not america slop because your standards are super low there, but its not good either
back when border was open a lot of wealthier russians came to finland to shop in supermarket to buy better quality food items
especially our dairy products were so popular, that when the sanction bullshit started, and russia banned imports from finland too as retaliation,
there were several cases of russian customs agent catching smugglers at the finnish russia border
they had packed their vans walls full of contraband
but it was not drugs - it was oltermanni cheese kekk
in fact noticing the popularity there were like 12 stores in the wealthier cities of russia of finnish prisma supermarkets selling primarily finnish food items and other stuff
unfortunately the eu sanctions put end to that all
people think that ooo the sanctions are hurting russia, yeah they are, but they are hurting europe nearly as much too
for us, russia was #2 largest trading partner after sweden and all that dropped to zero, sanctions are almost entirely responsible for our economic stagnation (shitskin importation other half, both are fault of EU)
and of course we were lucky to get our new nuclear plant online recently, but many other countries not so lucky, so for example germany has also been hurt as an heavy industry country from the rising energy prices
and of course everyone is, energy prices hurt industry the most, not just consumer
