I had party size of 8 most of the time. Each significantly increasing length of battles
I only started to speed up animations near the end when I got really, really exhausted of this playthrough. I don't do it usually because it's not immersive and doesn't look cool

I maxxed out enemy buff sliders and then further increased them with toybox. Battles took much longer initially in act 1 and act 2. I even had to restart some. Entire Heartless, Forgefiend ship, Footfall and Rykad in particular took long. I wish there was a better option to spawn more enemies. And I realized that I could even do it with Toybox too late.

I kept making characters and thematic teams. Separate teams for former Arbites, for Criminals, for Xenos and Xenophiles, for Admech, some feral world barbarians and whatever else I could think of. Many ideas were unfinished like Breacher team. In the end my retinue was 39 characters, leveling them up took super long. And equipping. Once I even unequipped everything from everyone and reequipped again to reassign items and rework builds. Eventually I decided that game is obviously not designed around having so many characters and so there was not enough stuff for everyone to make them fun. I again unequipped everyone and started to Toybox spawn copies of items I already once acquired and equipping teams properly again. So I don't have to waste even more time on unequipping items from one character just to put it on other before every mission. Would be nice if there was some loadout system in game like this which could check which items are equipped on whom and then switch to a different loadout if other unit already took this item for himself in a team, but alas

In general it takes me 2x or 3x as much time to beat anything. I often revisit locations just to check if I didn't miss anything. I intentionally generated more battles to fight with my teams. I'm diagnosed with aspergers too - meme as it may be, it's still given for something I guess
