You do need a different fruit above 50, and you might as well be maxing everything so that you can hybridize or change builds altogether down the track depending on how things play out. You should be buying any fruits you can use on every shop refresh provided you have the contribution points to spare.

For blade, you're going to want to end up mixing it with fire anyway so you might as well trade in your excess blade fruits for fire fruits for the time being. Fire works well with every martial skill except perhaps spear, but there's probably a way to make that good as well (I'm not good at hybridizing spear in the first place). So if you're using a martial skill and you don't know what to focus on next, fire is always a safe bet. But you'll max basically everything as you go anyway. Here are the stats of my last cultivator and I was only using palm/fire/wind, but having everything leveled was still helpful for the occasional mind skill that had a universal passive that I wanted.
